torn perfs...

anyone know of a good way to repair the perfs on a large section of film? a friend has asked me to inquire about how to repair 50 feet of film that a projector has damaged. seems like only the perfs are damaged though.

nightmare.......
afraid my only experience of this was on a section, about a foot long.
I cut out the broken perforations and neatened up the edges, and then cut a strip of good perforations from another length of film, and used splicing tape to fix them together. Took ages. Was really horrible job to do.
Id get your friend to do it himself!
